Meet Jason Li, Assistant Manager, Vendor/Order Management at Centric Brands Asia. In his interview, Jason shares how collaborating with his team when troubleshooting new projects and implementing new systems to enhance automation has helped him gain a higher solution efficiency in maintaining data integrity.
What are your career goals and aspirations?
I’m driven by the excitement of continuous skill growth, delivering timely customer service, and actively contributing to problem-solving within the dynamic order management team. I immerse myself in training sessions, foster open communication with colleagues and leaders, solicit feedback, and eagerly pursue new challenges and projects.
Describe a project you initiated that required significant innovation or creativity. How did you generate new ideas, and what results were achieved?
I’ve embraced tasks beyond my usual duties, diving into projects like spearheading Vendor Score Card (VSC) data verification, orchestrating internal team training sessions and actively engaging in initiatives to enhance automation within the logistics department. I adopted a user-centric approach. I would engage with the users to understand their current workflows and pain points and leverage my research skills to explore solutions. After all, collaboration is the key to achieving a more streamlined, accurate and efficient result.
What is a current project you’re working on that is especially exciting for you?
I‘m currently engaged in a project to automate data verification processes within our team. Leveraging Excel Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) backend formulas, I’m automating data analysis, thereby enhancing the efficiency of our verification processes. This project involves close collaboration with team members, fostering effective communication problem-solving, and knowledge sharing to drive successful outcomes.
What’s something surprising that not many people know about you?
My friends often describe me as dependable, approachable, and supportive. When not immersed in my work, I enjoy staying updated on the latest news and movies, being active through regular exercise, and constantly honing skills relevant to my profession.
