In our Associate Spotlight series, we are highlighting associates across our Company who are shaping our community and who embody our Centric Brands philosophy every day.
Meet Monir Ahammed Raton, Assistant Manager, Merchandising, Centric Brands Asia. Since joining Centric Brands in September 2023, Monir has taken the lead in development, sourcing, and quality execution for renowned lifestyle brands including IZOD, Merrell (coming soon), and Bonobos. His team operates at the critical intersection of brand standards, cost management, and production timelines—a balancing act that requires both technical knowledge and creative problem-solving.
One of his standout achievements has been spearheading the upcoming launch of Merrell’s outerwear line. Faced with significant price challenges and tight delivery constraints, he worked closely with manufacturing partners to develop innovative solutions for market, without compromising quality or brand integrity.
“Taking ownership of both challenges and achievements has been fundamental to my professional growth,” Monir reflects, highlighting the accountability that has defined his career trajectory. His journey in the fashion industry began in 2014, following his degree in Apparel Technology, where his passion for product merchandising first took root.
At Centric, Monir has cultivated an environment built on trust and teamwork. He considers earning the confidence of both his colleagues and leadership to be his proudest accomplishment at the company. His commitment to high standards and continuous improvement resonates with Centric’s brand-focused, customer-driven culture.
“I believe in fostering a positive, collaborative environment that drives team success,” says Monir, who approaches his work with an unwavering focus on results and open communication—values that have helped Centric maintain its competitive edge in the apparel market.
Beyond the office, Monir’s life in Dhaka, Bangladesh is rich with personal passions. A self-proclaimed biryani enthusiast, he takes pride in preparing this specialty dish in his home kitchen. His connection to education runs deep—Monir spent five years as a fashion lecturer, inspired by his wife who serves as an Associate Professor at a public university.
When not perfecting apparel products or cooking up a flavorful biryani, Monir enjoys exploring new destinations. He’s currently working toward obtaining his driver’s license, eagerly anticipating the family road trips and adventures that await on the horizon.
