Meet Mountain Li, Assistant Manager, Merchandising, Centric Brands Asia. Since joining Centric Brands in 2022, he’s brought a spirit of consistency and teamwork to his role in sourcing and production for kids’ licensed sleepwear, helping elevate quality and efficiency across the business.

Defining His Role, Leading with Impact
Mountain joined Centric Brands in 2022 when his team transitioned from Li & Fung, bringing with him years of experience in merchandising and sourcing. Now serving as Assistant Merchandising Manager, in the Shenzhen office, he leads sourcing and production for kids’ licensed sleepwear for Target and ALDI. 

In his role, Mountain manages the full production process—coordinating with Sales, Production, Development, Technical & Quality Control and Logistics teams, as well as vendor partners across regions. His focus: delivering quality products, improving margins and ensuring on-time execution. 

That mindset has helped him navigate the world of apparel sourcing with consistency and composure. His natural ability to organize, communicate and build trust across teams makes him a go-to partner in driving collaboration and results. 

A Supportive Culture for Growth
Mountain credits Centric Brands’ supportive culture for giving him the space to grow and lead with confidence. Under the mentorship of leaders including Jeff Pinkow (Executive Vice President, Sourcing, SELG), Jennifer Kole (Senior Director, Production, SELG), Kari Yau (Vice President, Sourcing & Production, SELG), and Coleen Leung (Director, Sourcing & Production, SELG), he’s continued to expand his skills and professional perspective. 

Finding Balance
Even in an industry known for its fast pace, Mountain takes time to recharge. He’s intentional about separating work and personal time, staying focused and efficient during the day so he can fully unwind afterward. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, hiking, running, and traveling with family and friends—activities that help him reset and stay energized for what’s ahead. 

For Mountain, success at Centric isn’t just about doing great work. It’s about connection, growth, and the satisfaction that comes from doing work he’s proud of—alongside people who share that same commitment.
