TOGETHER WE FIGHT: HONORING BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Centric Brands Greensboro Office hosted a Pink Party to honor survivors and their families, to educate, and to celebrate the strides that have been made in cancer research. Associates wore pink to the event, honored family members affected through pink ribbon posters, and participated in a card making initiative for children undergoing cancer treatment. 

Representatives from the American Cancer Society (ACS) and Cone Health’s Oncology Department spoke to associates and provided resources and information on breast cancer awareness, preventative measures, and treatment.

In addition, the office also participated in the ACS Making Strides 5K, where they raised more than $5,000 for cancer research. Centric Brands matched this donation, bringing the collective contribution to over $10,000.

Sharing her experience at the Pink Party, Jodie Covington, Vice President of Treasury, said: “I am amazed and inspired to see our employees come to the table for causes like this one. It was very moving to see so many people show up in their pink attire and add to our Ribbon Board, where people honored and remembered their loved ones.”
